KEEPING IT ALIVE.......THIS THING IS REAL, YO

In reminising and going back to the days of when my dream started to take form and life, I realize that so much has happened in this journey of mine. As a child, when it all started with a dream, I then continued to pursue my journey. All the musical influences that came into my life just gave me so much insight through their journeys. So much inspiration, admiration and hope that I still know that this is where I belong.

Today, along with the artists of yesteryear that so influenced me, I admire so many that chased their dreams down and refused to give up until they got struck by success. Tina Turner, Beyonce, Pink....just to name a few. Just look at Jennifer Hudson and the tragedy that struck her and how she just percevered throughout all of that horror. I relate to her even more because her Mom was also her hero, just like mine was to me. There could not be a bigger influence in my life to me than my mother.

As of today the one's that influence me are those that are close to my heart and on top of their game. Willing to fight for themselves and their families as they pursue their success in this crazy business of music. Freddy (Big Vil), rapper extraordinaire, in English and Spanish, singer and songwriter along with Jose aka Noiz, who is a self taught producer and engineer. I can't forget David (Fury), also a producer and engineer (he went to that other school for engineering...lol). Pablo (Picaso), Carlos and old school DJ Power (Cold Crush Crew and a leader in the Zulu Nation movement), all known as Immortons. These guys have become the new influences in my life today because of their hard work and the journey that we all share. I'm part of this crew now and we have been able to feed off each other. I now have a huge support base and the respect that I have earned. We are all now fighting together.....in it together with a serious kick-ass attitude.

I have a cous named Jay who has written a book: " The Mystery, The Rumors, The Sadness, The Truth. U5-The Truth Behind the Lives" by Jay Torres about the old school days of graffiti (aka bombing). He has accomplished so much and he is so awesome and got the best work ethics that I know. We had the pleasure of working together last year. He is a military man who doesn't play around and just that we were able to work together in putting some show cases and performances turned out to be such a beautiful thing to me.

My serious inspiration today are the lovely ladies that represent strength of character and get it done attitudes. My BFF&E Mini who will always believe in me and her continuous spiritual enlightening will always eliminate any doubt within myself. My lil sis Muneca, fighting cancer and always wearing a smile no matter what, she always been nutty anyway. My niece Emily is one of the biggest fighters of them all. Been put through the ringer and came out on top. She's the one who is most like me...how you like me now and my girls that I can always count on, Lety, Evelyn, Olawa, Cous Marina who have conquered difficult challenges and refuse to let up. And then there are my Vudu girls, the Fabuloza Crew, all beautiful and about something. My girls are the best.

These are my peoples that I want around me as I continue to learn and grow and chase this thing down. What ever our input and contributions are in this business or to each other, we are what you can call...unstoppable....See you at the T.O.P. (exclamation point)!
